- Date:Sat, Mar 18, 2017
Throughout the school the children have risen to the challenge set by Achievement by All (a national education charity) to read for as many minutes as possible between the 9th and 15th March. In so doing St Francis joined over 300 schools in the U.K. to try and reach the target of reading for ten million minutes. It was fantastic to see so many children with their noses buried in books. It was also great to see so many early risers taking advantage of the school being opened early to clock up more minutes. As a school we read for a staggering 87,465 minutes! Congratulations go to Julia (EYFS), Zofia (Y2), Anna (Y3/4) and Madison (Y6) who read for the most minutes in their respective Key Stages. Congratulations must also go to the children in Miss Brouder's class and Miss Vissani's class who came top in their Key Stages. Thank you to all parents and staff for their support.
